As you walk through our city you can’t help feel the chest bumping bass from a local hip hop or EDM club , propulsive rhythms and improvisation of Jazz, melancholy ballads of Country, or lively tropical rhythm of Salsa or Merengue. Each genre immerses our souls with different emotions and opens our eyes and ears to experience the different perspectives of the various cultures of beautiful people who call our city home.
We go to sleep every night (or morning depending on how much fun we had) and wake up to design, test, and experiment with ideas for new products. The company kitchen is well equipped with Cuban coffee to make sure we have the stamina to do this because frankly we can’t function without it. Our customer base is just as diverse as our city. Walking in and out of the offices and showrooms you might find local DJ’s, church pastors, nigh club owners, sound engineers, or Grammy award winning artists. We design our products to satisfy the tastes of even the pickiest audiophile and to make any music genre sound as it should. Our product lines are not designed to cater to a specific market, they are truly designed and developed with everyone in mind.
From the brands inception in 1972 until the late 90’s, Sound Barrier’s manufactured quality affordable car audio equipment. As the market shifted and the demand for secondary market car audio equipment faded, Sound Barrier forged a new path to path to success developing a line of pro audio equipment. There was nothing fancy about the new line, just good quality amps and speakers that users can rely on. Over the last decade and a half, we have assembled a talented international team of engineers and salespersons who share values, love of music, and pride in providing quality product. The Sound Barrier line of pro audio products has grown exponentially to include truss and stage systems, Racks and Cases, Line Array Systems and more.
Sound Barrier is a fast-growing company, and in addition to developing new and exciting product lines, we partnered with MARANI, a specialist developer of custom DSP applications to develop amplification solutions, processors, equalizers, compressors and other exciting and innovative products to lead us into the future.
